With the current Government guidelines allowing non-essential shops to reopen from the 15th June, I will be following this guidance and resuming tuition at The Old Vicarage in Wakefield from Monday 22nd June.
At this time, I fully understand there will be some that do not wish to resume lessons in person just yet, and I would like to assure you that I will hold your place and give you priority on a time slot when you do feel comfortable to continue. All I ask in return is that you inform me that you will like to continue at some point in the future, but are not ready yet. The option for online lessons is available if you would like to carry on your sessions in the meantime.
IMPORTANT – For the safety of all, if you are showing symptoms, believe you are suffering from COVID-19, or have concerns you may have been directly exposed – please contact me as soon as possible and we will suspend your lessons until it is safer to continue.
- All previous time slots that were held for sessions will be temporarily suspended. I will need to discuss with each person to arrange a suitable time for their session.
- I will be placing a 15 minute interval between sessions to prevent customers making unneccessary contact with other customers. This time will also allow me to clean areas and equipment in the studio that have had any contact in the previous session.
- If you arrive to your lesson by car, please stay in your vehicle until you are invited into the building. The building will remain shut whenever possible, to prevent unwanted people entering the building.
- Areas will be clearly marked to ensure social distancing practise. I kindly ask you to respect the boundaries set out.
- It will be neccesary for you to bring your own instrument and books that you will need to use. I will provide an amplifier, music stands and drum kit only.
- You will need to bring your own guitars, plectrums and drum sticks.
- If your instrument needs repair or maintenance, please remedy this before your lesson; to avoid situations where I would need to handle your instrument to fix it.
- Saxophone lessons will now be required to bring their own instrument and mouthpieces as a standard policy which will continue on into the future.
- I will provide masks, hand sanitiser and wipes for you to use at your discretion.
- Only one parent or person to accompany their child during their lessons, to avoid many people in the same room.
- At the end of each session I will conduct cleaning of areas and equipment that have had contact before the next session starts. This will include music stands, door handles, chairs, hand rails, and drums and cymbals if applicable.
- If you are early for your lesson, please wait outside until you are invited in to allow me to carry out cleaning measures thoroughly.
- My policy will be published clearly outside and inside my tuition studio, and I will provide an email copy on request.
Please contact me on 07756959699 or email wakefieldmusictuition@outlook.com if you would like to discuss anything before deciding to continue with your tuition at my studio.
